It depends on the tool and on how many people use it. The calculator above compares one subscription you can actually cancel against the template price, at the team size you set. Where a vendor’s free tier already covers you, renting is cheaper and you should keep renting.
You move it, and it is an ordinary job rather than a special one. Most of these vendors export to CSV, and the template keeps everything in plain Postgres, so the import is a load of rows into tables the setup guide has already created for you. If you would rather not do it yourself, message us in the chat and we will help you with it.
No. You download the .zip, follow the setup doc, create the database it describes and paste in your own keys. To change how it works, upload that same folder into an AI builder like Lovable or Bolt and describe what you want in chat. Every template ships copy-paste prompts for each step, so the part that needs precision is already written down.
For a landing page, do that. The hours go on the part underneath: the tables, the roles, and the row-level security rules deciding who may read which row. The Airbnb-style rental marketplace ships 121 of those rules, the Fiverr-style creator marketplace 180. A missing one changes nothing on screen, but it leaves your customers’ data exposed. Starting from a build that has them leaves your prompting for the rest.
Nothing on most hosts. Netlify and Cloudflare Pages serve the front end free and allow business use, which is why the hosting row in the calculator opens at zero. Vercel is the exception, because its free plan is licensed for personal projects, so a company app hosted there starts at $20 a user a month.
Also nothing to start, because Supabase runs it on the free tier. The catch is that a free project pauses after a week without traffic, so anything your team uses in earnest moves to Supabase Pro at $25 a month. That is the one running cost most of these templates end up with, and the calculator carries a switch for it.
